Who this covers
This covers shockwaveelectricut.com, run by Shockwave Electric, an electrical contractor working across Salt Lake and Utah counties, Utah. Questions go to Jayson@shockwaveelectricut.com or (801) 819-9709.
What we collect
Only what you type into the booking form, and only when you submit it:
- Your name and phone number
- Your email address, if you give one. It is optional.
- The city, and the street address if you choose to add it
- The service you picked, when you would like the visit, and how you prefer to be contacted
- Anything you write in the details box
- Whether you ticked the box asking for text updates
Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address your request came from. That is ordinary hosting infrastructure, not something we look at or build profiles from.
What we do not do
This site runs no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies. We do not follow you around the internet and we cannot, because none of the machinery for it is on the page. The one thing that does load from Google on arrival is the service area map, which is a map and not a tracker. Everything else, including the spam check on the form, waits until you start filling it in.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Why we have it, and for how long
To quote the work you asked about, schedule it, and keep a record of the job. We keep enquiry records while there is a live conversation and for as long afterwards as is reasonable for warranty and tax purposes. Ask us to delete yours and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Who else touches it
- WebDevAuto builds and runs this website and the customer system the form submits into.
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud host the site and store the enquiry. Data is held in the United States.
- Google reCAPTCHA checks that form submissions come from a person and not a bot. It loads only once you begin filling the form, and it is subject to Google's own privacy terms.
- Google Maps draws the service area map. It loads with the page, so Google sees that your browser requested the map, and it is subject to Google's own privacy terms.
That is the complete list. No one else receives your details.
Text messages
Submitting the form lets us contact you about the visit you asked for. The tick box for text updates is separate, optional, unticked by default, and only covers scheduling and offers. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not stop us from replying about a job you asked us to quote.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email or call using the details at the top. We do not charge for this.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging electrical work. We do not knowingly collect anything from children.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it.
